How to Vote in the August 12, 2014 MN Primary

Primary Voting-  What You Need to Know

This is a non-partisan race. You do not need to be affiliated with any political party to vote in the primary for City Council.

Minnesota law changed this year to allow anyone to vote early by absentee ballot.

There are 3 ways to vote in the primary:

  1. Vote on Election Day
    • The Primary Election is Tuesday, August 12.
    • Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm on election day.
    • If you are not registered to vote, you may do so at the polls
  2. Vote Early By Mail
    • You may request a ballot online or at the Hennepin County Government Center
    • You fill out your ballot and mail it in – the ballot must be received by August 12
  3. Vote Early In Person
    • You may vote early in person at Crystal City Hall from now until August 11.
    • Hours are M-F, 8 am to 4:30 pm
